Swedish softwood lumber and planed product exports fell by roughly 15% in December 2012 to 736,000 m³. Roughly 22% less was delivered to buyers within Europe at 325,300 m³. At 410,700 m³, exports outside Europe were almost 16% below the figure for the same month of the previous year. Exports of planed products were over 27% down at the end of the year at 183,600 m³. Exports of rough-sawn pine lumber fell almost 17% short of the previous year’s figure at 353,300 m³ whereas exports of spruce lumber were 6% higher than in the same month of 2011 at a total of 198,800 m³. |
